About us
Our story
Where the sea meets the table

The place
On the waterfront of Marsaxlokk
La Nostra Padrona sits at the water’s edge in Marsaxlokk, one of the most beautiful fishing villages in the Mediterranean. From our terrace at 87 Xatt is-Sajjieda you look out over the painted luzzijiet that have defined this harbour for generations, and the catch they bring in each morning decides what arrives on your plate.
This is a restaurant shaped by its surroundings: the salt air, the pace of a village that still lives by the rhythm of the tide, and a kitchen that treats simplicity as the highest form of craft.

Our philosophy
Fresh ingredients, honest cooking
We believe the best Mediterranean cooking begins at the source: with fish still cool from the sea, herbs cut that morning and olive oil pressed from nearby groves. Our kitchen works with what the day provides, building each dish around the ingredient rather than the other way around.
The menu spans the breadth of Mediterranean seafood, from delicate crudo and handmade pasta to fish from the grill, alongside select cuts of meat for those who prefer land to sea. Every plate is prepared with care, served without pretence, and meant to be shared.
At La Nostra Padrona, every meal is an experience by the sea.

The setting
A table with a view
Our dining room opens onto the Marsaxlokk promenade, where the harbour light shifts from gold to blue as the evening unfolds. Inside, the room draws on the coastal character of the village: warm stone, soft light and details that nod to the maritime heritage just outside the door.
Whether you join us for a long lunch watching the boats come in, a quiet dinner as the sun goes down or a celebration with the people who matter most, La Nostra Padrona is the kind of place where time moves a little slower.
